So I was road-tripping through the South with some of my girlfriends and found this place through a brochure titled
"100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die". The smothered pork chops are to die for, the portions are extremely
generous, and it's all very inexpensive. Plus, the Harris' are the sweetest couple ever. They fed us till we practically
needed to be rolled out the door and gave us from-the-heart life advice. If you're ever in the area, check this place out!
One more thing-- no matter how full you are, DON'T SKIP DESSERT! Homemade peach cobbler with ice cream...

This is a real small town Southern Soul Food cafe. Not many frills except the new flat screen tv mounted in the corner tuned to HLN.
The food was straight forward Southern cooking. I had meatloaf, steamed squash and rice w/brown gravy. It was all really good!
They also have a burger challenge like Man vs. Food tackles. A HUGE super burger, fries plus drink. If you finish it your pic joins lots
of others on the "wall of shame" I am taking my 13 Y/O son on my next trip he can win this challenge!
